No one looks forward to a hospital stay, but at Lake Wales Medical Center, we work hard to make sure your visit is as pleasant as possible. Here's a few things you should know about your room and our hospital in general that can help make your time with us restful and healing.
Television Channels: A television with cable access to the major networks is available for each patient and is easily controlled by the handset attached to the patient’s bed. Please ask your nurse if you have any questions about the operation of your television.
Smoking: Lake Wales Medical Center is a tobacco-free campus. Please notify your doctor if you require nicotine replacement therapy while in the facility.
Mail and Flower Delivery: Mail and flowers will be delivered to your room as soon as they arrive. If you receive mail after you have been discharged, it will be forwarded to your home address. If you have outgoing mail, please give it to your nurse. Mail is delivered each weekday. No flowers are permitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
Newspapers: Each morning a hospital employee delivers a complimentary newspaper to patient rooms.
Meals: Our cafeteria provides in-room meals each day to our patients. Parents of pediatric patients under the age of 12 will receive a complimentary guest tray.
