LWMC’s Edwards Receives Recognition as Certified Radiology Administrator

Lake Wales, FL (July 13, 2012) – Toby Edwards R.T.(R), Director of Imaging Services at Lake Wales Medical Center, has received the credential of Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) through the Radiology Administration Certification Commission (RACC).

Prior to joining Lake Wales Medical Center in March 2011, Edwards held imaging management positions with several hospitals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area including Zale Lipshy University Hospital, USMD Hospital at Arlington, and Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton.

Edwards received his Radiography training in Fort Worth, Texas at the John Peter Smith Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. He is currently enrolled in the Clinical Management and Leadership program at The George Washington University.

The Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) program is the first and only credentialing opportunity recognizing the range of skills and expertise an imaging administrator possesses, including: Financial Management, Communication and Information Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, and Asset Management.

Candidates who meet education and experience requirements and pass a national examination are awarded the credential CRA.
