WHITAKER SELECTED EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH AT LWMC

Lake Wales, FL (Oct. 17, 2011) – Karen Whitaker, Medical Technologist in the Lab, was named Employee of the Month for September at Lake Wales Medical Center. She has been with LWMC since 1991. In nominating her, Whitaker’s manager wrote, “Karen is … always flexible with her schedule so that others can take vacations, and she always thinks about the stability of the lab when she considers time off. She does not mind working different days or weekends so that others can have the days they need. This is a quality that often goes unnoticed, but is vital to morale and service continuity. She also prepares the technologist schedules without complaint and works closely with me when scheduling issues arise. She also manages our point of care and does a fine job."
