DR. VICENTE VERZOSA RETIRES FROM LAKE WALES MEDICAL CENTER

Lake Wales, FL (Oct. 10, 2011) – Dr. Vicente Verzosa, a pioneering physician in Lake Wales for more than 40 years, will be honored at a retirement reception at Lake Wales Medical Center, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13.

Dr. Verzosa, a cardiologist, came to Lake Wales in 1971. The following year, he helped open the hospital’s first Intensive Care Unit. He served as Chief of Medicine for more than 20 years, and served the past six years on the hospital’s Board of Trustees.

Former patients, staff and friends of Dr. Verzosa are invited to the retirement reception, which will be held in the hospital cafeteria. The hospital is located at 410 S. 11th Street. To RSVP, please call 678-2288.
