Mall Walkers Plans Second Registration Party; Gifts Cards to be Given Away

Lake Wales, FL (March 10, 2011) – The Mall Walkers program at Eagle Ridge Mall will hold a Sign-up Extravaganza on Friday, March 18 at 8 a.m.

The first 50 people to newly enroll in Mall Walkers at the Extravaganza that day will receive a $10 JCPenney gift card, along with a Mall Walkers T-shirt, pedometer and tracking card. Free breakfast will be served to all Mall Walkers that morning.

“We’ve had great participation in the Mall Walkers program so far, but we know there are others out there who would enjoy participating but haven’t signed up yet,” said Maryemma Bachelder, Director of Marketing at Lake Wales Medical Center. “Although many of our seasonal residents are heading back North soon, we want to encourage our year-round residents to participate in Mall Walkers throughout the year.”

The Mall Walkers program enables people to walk inside the mall from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sundays. All Mall Walkers must enter through the Food Court and receive a badge in the Food Court, or wear the Mall Walker T-shirt.

Prize parties are held monthly to reward participants for reaching distance milestones. Upcoming prize parties are scheduled for April 5, May 10 and June 7 at 8 a.m.
