LWMC, ERM Mall Walkers Program in Full Swing

Lake Wales, FL (Jan. 21, 2011) – Lake Wales Medical Center and Eagle Ridge Mall now offer a Mall Walkers program.

More than 100 walkers showed up for the kick-off party of January 10, and they continue to walk the mall. Walkers are invited to walk inside the mall from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Sundays. All Mall Walkers must enter through the Food Court and receive a badge in the Food Court, or wear the Mall Walker T-shirt.

The first prize party for the program will be held at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 21. Prizes will be awarded based on distance walked since kick-off. Mall Walkers should bring their tracking cards, with total miles tallied, to the party. Hospital staff also will offer free blood pressure and glucose testing at the prize party.
