Sign Up Today for Lake Wales Relay for Life

Lake Wales, FL (April 5, 2011) – Additional teams are being sought for this year’s Lake Wales Relay for Life, a fund-raising and awareness event for the American Cancer Society. “Race for the Cure” for this year’s event, to be held on May 14-15 at Lake Wales High School. The Relay for Life is designed to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

At the Relay, teams of people camp out at the track and take turns walking or running around the track. Because cancer never sleeps, the Relay is an overnight event. The event includes a luminaria ceremony honoring those who have battled cancer. 

To join the Relay, go to www.relayforlife.org/lakewalesFL and sign up! Team entry fee is $100. Once a team is signed up online, individual team members can simply log in to join their team.
