LWMC Plans 4th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

Lake Wales, FL (Aug. 17, 2011) – Lake Wales Medical Center’s Healthy Woman program is holding its 4th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011 in Lake Wales.

The walk will begin and end at Kiwanis Park on Lakeshore Boulevard. Walkers will use the path around the lake, and can walk to the end of the path and back, or may choose to walk a shorter distance. .

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. at the pavilions at Kiwanis Park, and the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Door prizes and recognition of survivors will be held at 9:30 a.m. There is no charge to participate in the walk. Participants who register by September 20 will receive a free T-shirt the day of the walk. Late registrants will receive a T-shirt, if available, on a first-come, first served basis at check-in the day of the walk.
